Biography of Sayed Hafizullah Hashimi

       Mr. Sayed Hafizullah Hashimi, son of Sayed Abdulhaq Khan, was born into a devout and intellectual family in Myasahib village in the Alishang District of Laghman Province. 

He completed his primary education in Mehrabudeen School, Kabul, in 1983 after which he joined Mechanical High School and graduated with grade A, in 1987. In 1988, after passing of the university entrance exam, he gained admission into the Faculty of Engineering in Nangarhar University in Afghanistan. After one year of studying, he was forced to leave the country and migrate to Pakistan due to Civil War. Whereupon he subsequently enrolled in the Islamic Education Mahd-e-Ali college graduating in 1991. Continuing his education in the USA, he obtained his Bachelor Degree from D1 Washington International University in 2008 (Online). Mr. Hashimi obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Azad Islamic University Kabul Unit on his return to the country. Mr. Hashimi is currently a doctoral candidate.

Besides having knowledge of Pashto and Dari languages, Mr. Hashimi is fluent in Arabic and English. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of administration and management and has participated in capacity building and professional development seminars /workshops in the following countries: Pakistan, Qatar, Iran, India, the US, Canada, Swiss, Vietnam, Netherland, Germany, Philippine, France, Thailand, Ecuador, Tajikistan, Iraq, China, Egypt, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

Work Experiences:

 - 2012 to present:  he has been working as a Secretary General (SG) in Upper House General Secretariat of Afghan Parliament; 

-2012: Worked as an Advisor in the General Department Office of the Administration Affairs of Parliament;   

-2011:  Worked as Deputy in Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Administration Affairs of Presidential Palace;

- 2010: Worked as Director in Administrative and Finance Affairs Department of President’s Office

-  2009: Worked as Transport Director in Transportation Department of Presidential Palace;

- 2006: Worked as Transportation Affairs Advisor in the General Department of Presidential Palace;

-2005: Worked as General in-charge of Stock in General Secretariat and Election Commission of the Presidential Palace;

-  2003: Worked as a Logistic and Transportation in-charge in the General Secretariat and the constitution over- viewing Commission;

- 1994-2002: Worked as a Manager in Mosharaf Qasam Arabi Hostel in addition to Educational Institute’s Deputy in Madeni Monawara Orphanage, Pakistan;

-1993: Worked as a Manager of Archives, Pakistan.

 Besides performing his official duties, Mr. Hashimi also participated in the Grand Assembly as a Transport department in-charge; in the General Secretariat of the Presidential Palace - Provincial Council’s Session- as an administrative in- charge;  in the General Secretariat of Presidential Palace in Regional Peace Council for Afghanistan and Pakistan session as an administrative in-charge; in Peace Advisory National Council as a Services General In-charge; in Traditional Loya Jirga (Grand Council) as an Administrative deputy;  in the Election Commission in Kabul Loya Jirga (Grand Council) session as an advisor of the Loya Jirga’s chairman.

Honorable Hashimi is a talented person; he showcases exceptional behavior with his staff and guests. He has excellent skills in monitoring and evaluation which has seen him obtain four first level appreciation letters and four third level appreciation letters, once obtaining an official Medal by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He has also got several appreciation letters from the Upper House’s Commissions and General Sessions as well.

Mr. Sayed Hafizullah Hashimi is married and is a father to two sons and three daughters.
