Fazal Hadi Muslimyar speaker of the Meshrano Jirga met with Mr. Cihad Erginay the new ambassador of turkey to Kabul .


During the meeting, both side discussed the Afghan peace process and Turkey-friendly cooperation, the strengthening of parliamentary relations and other issues of interest.

Mr. Cihad Erginay, Recalling the historical and long-standing relations between the two countries said that his country has always wanted a secure and prosperous Afghanistan, therefore, it is working to end the ongoing war and violence in this country, and if the Afghan government and the Taliban are ready, the Turkey is ready to host a peace conference for Afghanistan in Istanbul, and in this regard, we call on various parties to remove the existing obstacle in the peace process and put an end to the long war in Afghanistan.


The Turkish ambassador said that in addition, his country's vision for Afghanistan is to turn the country into a transit route for goods in the region, and that Turkish companies are involved in some major projects, including the transfer of Turkmen electricity through Afghanistan to Pakistan and completing work construction of Kajaki Dam in Helmand province and likewise we are ready to cooperate more in the field of education. Then, Fazal Hadi Muslimyar speaker of the Meshrano Jirga, congratulated Mr. Cihad Erginay on his new mission and wished him and his team success. He also thanked Turkey for their assistance to the people of Afghanistan in various fields and stressed the need to strengthen and expand relations at various levels.  left huge casualties and losses, and their greatest desire is to ensure peace in the country. Moreover, he added that “We hope that the Istanbul Conference will be a success and that the people of Afghanistan will be happy”.
