Muhammad Akbar Stanikzai second deputy speaker of the Meshrano Jirga today in his office met with Mr. Ahmad Khan Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kabul.


During the meeting, both sides discussed the Afghan peace process, strengthening parliamentary relations between the two countries, expanding trade and facilitating the award of scholarships to young people and facilitating the issuance of visas.

Mr. Mansour Ahmad Khan, citing the long-standing commonalities between the two countries, emphasized the need to strengthen relations between the two neighboring countries. He considered Afghanistan safe and stable in favor of Pakistan and the region and spoke of Pakistan’s efforts to ensure peace and the end of the war in Afghanistan, strengthen ties at various levels, including parliamentary and trade relations, providing scholarships and facilitating of the issuance of visas.


Mohammad Akbar Stankzai, second deputy of the senate while recalling Pakistan's assistance to the Afghan government and people in hosting Afghan refugees, he wished the Pakistani government to work in good faith and honesty to end the war in Afghanistan so that Afghan peace efforts can be successful, which is in the interest of both countries and the region. Also, emphasizing on strengthening parliamentary relations between the two countries, the second deputy speaker said that the existing geography could not be changed, therefore it is imperative that the two Muslim neighbors should make greater efforts to remove the gap between them.
