In today’s session of the Meshrano Jirga, the senators asked that all politicians and participants were called that with a unified plan and approach protect the achievements of the last two decades in Afghanistan at the Istanbul Peace Summit.

The senators while resenting their views on the Afghan peace debate, called on politicians and the government delegation to attend the Istanbul Peace Summit with a unified plan, and defend the objective realities and achievements of the past two decades, including women's rights, the preservation of the system, the rights of religious minorities, the rights of war victims, the preservation and sacrifice of the country's defense and security forces. 

Furthermore, the senators expressed their unfortunate on the increase in assassinations, especially the assassination of a female police officer in Nangarhar province, the assassination of Abdul Samad, chairman of the Takhar Ulema Council, and the martyrdom of Sharifullah Khosti, commander of Baghlan special forces, they called on the responsible institutions to identify the perpetrators of these crimes and bring them to justice. during the session, it was also noted that the country's education system is still facing a shortage of books, teachers, and other educational needs and that the government should take urgent measures to address these shortcomings and challenges. It was also said that the ID card distributors had written some Tazkira with errors, which caused problems for the people when obtaining the electronic ID card, The Speaker referred this issue to the relevant commission to be discussed with the statistical officials to eliminate the deficiencies.

At the end of the session, Fazl Hadi Muslimyar, Speaker of the Meshrano Jirga, considered the provision of a dignified and universal peace in which the values and rights of citizens are preserved as the basic need of the country, and said that the Istanbul Peace Summit, it was better for the officials of the former government and the other politicians to present a comprehensive and uniform plan in which the preservation of the system and the interests of the country should be ensured with the necessary consensus and coordination with the representatives of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Fazl Hadi Muslimyar said the Meshrano Jirga appreciated the president of the country for preparing for early elections to facilitate the peace process, which could be a good plan for peace.

In another part of today's session, some amendments to the labor law were introduced by the chairman and other members of the Public Welfare, Natural Resources, and Environment Commission. the draft law was not approved and was postponed to the next session due to more discussions about some of its articles.

Moreover, at today's session, Mohammad Alam Ezdyar, First Deputy Speaker of the House, presented a report on his visit to the Moscow International Summit on peace in Afghanistan and his visit to France. He said that Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council, President Hamid Karzai Former president of Afghanistan, Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, Mohammad Karim Khalili, former Vice Presidents, and several others attended the meeting, and was attended by representatives of the region and representatives of the Taliban, as well as Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the head of Hezb-e-Islami. The Moscow summit was held as a prelude to the Istanbul summit, and there were soft and sometimes hard talks from both sides. 

He added that at the Moscow meeting, the delegation of GoIRA discussed the protection of institutions, the maintenance of freedom of expression and human rights, and the rights of women within the framework of Islam, the presence and departure of foreign military forces, the merger and disarmament of irresponsible armed groups, especially the Taliban, and others. Ezadyar added that the meeting also stated that all parties, including the countries involved in the war in Afghanistan, have a positive and valuable role in the peace process, and the content of the conference showed that countries in the region and the world believe that there is no military solution to Afghanistan. And it must be addressed politically.

He said that a resolution was also issued at the meeting stating that the participants in the Moscow meeting did not support the establishment of an Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan. The first deputy of the Senate also presented his travel report from France, and while praising the French authorities in the section of road registration in the name of the national hero of the country, Martyr Ahmad Shah Massoud, said that the plan to install a memorial plaque, and naming an area for the national hero of the country is a great achievement for the people of Afghanistan, and that was due to the suggestion of some scholars of that country to the Paris City Council and a majority of members voted for it. The Paris City Council is an independent body that decided on February 2 of this year to appoint a memorial plaque to Ahmad Shah Massoud, the national hero of the country in the area. The event, held in the French capital, was attended by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council, former President Hamid Karzai, Ahmad Massoud, son of the national hero, some political figures, and a large number of Afghan immigrants who came to Paris from some European countries. Ezadyar, added that the message of France was that in the current situation of peace talks in Afghanistan, all sides should make efforts to achieve the desired result. The first deputy of the Senate also said that in a meeting with the Speaker of the Senate of that country there was talk of strengthening parliamentary relations and some other issues of interest, and it was decided that a parliamentary friendship group meeting of both countries would be held in April this year.
