Fazal Hadi Muslim Yar Speaker of the Meshrano Jirga, today in his office met with Khalid Ahmad Zakaria the new appointed ambassador of Afghanistan in Italy.

During the meeting, Mr. Zakaria discussed about his work plans and said that he would make efforts to strengthen and expand relations, especially the establishment of parliamentary relations between Afghanistan and Italy, and would draw the attention of Italian officials to further assistance to the Afghan people.

Then, Fazl Hadi Muslim Yar, Speaker of the Meshran Jirga, recalled the historical relations between Afghanistan and Italy, and expressed his appreciation for the country's assistance to Afghanistan, and congratulated Khalid Ahmad Zakaria on his appointment as Afghanistan's Ambassador to Italy.

The Speaker of the Senate also expressed readiness that the Meshrano Jirga is ready to host the parliamentary delegations of the Italy, and stressed that images were being posted on social media of some Afghan embassy staff in Rome treating visitors inappropriately, which should be stopped, and the employees of the country's political agencies should not resort to illegal and non-national actions
