In the plenary session of the Meshrano Jirga on
Tuesday led by the Speaker of the House, the current situation of the country
was discussed.

The senators expressed their gratitude for the commitment, bravery,
and heroism of the defense and security forces in the rebuffing of the
Taliban's massive attack on the Lashkar Gah city of Helmand province and said
that the Taliban group did not believe in peace and except the war, which
during the peace talks increased the fighting in different parts of the country.
They are breaching a memorandum of understanding with the Americans
that they would not attack cities and public highways and that in order to curb
the current situation, the country's armed forces must withdraw from active
defense to launch offensive attacks to suppress the enemy.
Speaking about the shortcomings of the defense and security forces
in preventing the Taliban from infiltrating parts of Lashkar Gah city, the
senators said the group had looted an electrical substation in that province
and taken its staff with them. They destroy public utilities, including roads,
which are against all national and Islamic standards. The senators called peace
as a priority and called on the international community, especially the United
States, to put more pressure on Taliban supporters to reduce violence and to
agree to make a ceasefire.
Moreover, the Senators while emphasizing the improvement of the
security situation, especially in Urozgan province and the northern regions of
the country, the senators said that criminal crimes such as murder, armed
robbery, and kidnapping in Kabul are very worrying, and called on the Ministry
of Interior and National Security to take serious measures to address the
situation and the serious fight against criminal and terrorist offenses.

At the session, the chairman and other members asked the citizens
to follow the health recommendations to prevent the spread of the second wave
of the coronavirus, and it was also emphasized that the institutions
responsible for the money allocated to fight the first wave of the corona
should be reviewed and reported.
Emphasis on reviewing operational funds allocated to provinces and
establishing a procedure for transparency by government, criticizing the
administration of local administration for postponing provincial council
elections, asking the Ministry of Education to provide better education for
students after the days of quarantine, Criticism of US dual policy on war and
peace in Afghanistan, emphasis on investigating allegations that US forces
destroyed a number of buildings at the Bagram military base and smuggling
equipment abroad, expressing concern about the salary cuts and privileges of
the martyrs' heirs from previous years by the relevant institutions, a reminder
of the gathering of women of the country to support the republic and the values
of the last two decades, appointment of an inexperienced and unprofessional
person as the police chief of Balkh district, the commemoration of the second
anniversary of the martyrdom of General Abdul Raziq, the former police chief of
Kandahar, and some other issues were raised by the senators.
Fazl Hadi Muslimyar, Chairman of the Meshran Jirga, while
expressing regret over the intensity of the fighting in Helmand and expressing
sympathy with the suffering people of the province, said that the resistance of
the armed forces was commendable and supportable and that these brave forces
were able to win the war and clear vulnerable areas of the enemy. Criticizing
the Taliban for breaking the agreement and commitment, the Senate Speaker said
that the group had agreed with the United States to refrain from large-scale
attacks and not to operate on major cities and highways, but their attacks in
Takhar, Uruzgan, and Helmand provinces showed that they were not fulfilling
their commitments. They are not bound and their main figures are something
else, and now the United States should explain to international partners,
especially the Afghan government, that why the Taliban have escalated the
violence, and if there is a deal, it requires the Afghan intelligence services
to Share that research and facts with the people.
Muslim Yar added that the United States, as a strategic partner
also has a security pact with Afghanistan, and should not deal with such issues
inconsiderately and act against it, because not handing over some military
equipment to Afghan security forces and destroying military bases is against
the accepted principles, and it is considered cowardly.

Furthermore, Addressing the negotiating team of the Government of
the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Speaker of the Meshrano Jirga said:
"Our people need peace and the end of the war. We hope that they will
represent their people and system with patience and based on Islamic
Sharia." and this House is in support and cooperation of them; He added
that we expect the Taliban to stop making excuses and base their talks on
Islamic law, not an agreement with the United States.
According to another news item, a number of private high school
students of Shamshad No. (3) visited the National Assembly today as part of the
educational and observation programs conducted by the Information and Public
